Thankful for Best Buddies

Mrs. Christine Harvey, Best Buddies advisor, plans a holiday themed club event once a month. On November 13, Best Buddies held a Thanksgiving event to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

Festivities were held in room 133, and was attended by peer counselors and buddies. Students ate snacks and danced the Turkey-Trot dance. After eating and dancing, peer counselors helped the buddies make turkeys out of art and crafts. 

One of the buddies favorite activities was coloring fall themed papers, and eating the sweet snacks.

“This [Thanksgiving event] was one of my favorite events, all the buddies have been talking about how fun it was,” Ms. Allison Annis stated. 

 Harvey said “This event was important for us to build bonds and friendships.”
