Cross Country is an impeccable sport that allows students to represent their schools, and do what they love! The Falcon Cove Cross Country team has practice four times a week and usually has meets every week. The team absolutely loves getting to work together. They especially love when they get to participate in races against other schools. When they work as a team, they feel as though they are creating not just friends, but a family. Members of the team love spending time with each other, “They make practice a lot more fun” stated student and team member Maria Barboza. They feel as though without friends on the team, they wouldn’t enjoy being a part of Cross Country.
The team works together and drive each other to success. “For us, our team was an important factor. We all motivated and pushed each other to our maximum capacities. It was positive pressure, the support and belief given to us by our team, definitely made a difference.” stated Samhita Kashyap.
This past week, the cross country team participated in a cross country event at Falcon Cove Middle School. The team took first place beating out Pioneer, Nova, Gulf Stream, Plantation, AC Perry, and Sawgrass middle. After winning, the students felt proud knowing that all of their hard work paid off.
Girls Cross Country team members love how the team has improved their time at Falcon Cove. “It’s gotten me closer with a lot of people that I wouldn’t otherwise know and it’s helped me make a lot of great friendships.” said student and team member Maria Barboza.
