FCMS 6th Grade Dance

FCMS 6th Grade Students moving to the beat at Friday night’s dance!

Falcon Cove’s annual 6th grade social took place on October 15, 2021 in the school cafeteria. While hosting a dance in the midst of a pandemic is no easy task, the Falcon Cove PTA worked hard to organize an entertaining evening. Trying their best to provide a warm welcome, many fun activities were planned for the new students on campus. A DJ kept the music flowing, a photo booth captured memories, and pizza, cookies, and drinks were served to keep the students’ energy going.

After weeks of anticipation, the sixth grade students were thrilled to attend their first middle school dance, and had loads of fun when the day finally arrived.

Joshua Hernandez talks about his exciting night at the social, “This is the best time of my life!”
Kiera Boone is also having a blast. She says, “I am having lots of fun and this is great!”

Many different interesting and intriguing music genres were played throughout the event. Songs popular among students such as “Montero” by Lil Nas X, “Body” by Megan Thee Stallion, and “Pepa Y Agua Pa La Seca” by Music Falcon were played along with a variety of Spanish music.

Fun music, delicious snacks, and amazing decorations and lights all added up together to create a  cheerful experience. The theme of the dance was ‘Glow Up Falcons!’ and the entire cafeteria had been beautifully decorated with glow in the dark lanterns, neon lights, vibrant balloons, and even mega Rubik’s-cubes! Students that attended the dance had a great time partying with their friends.

Sixth grader Olivia Huey said, “I am having so much fun because my friends are here and the decorations are really cool.”

Our Falcons thoroughly enjoyed their special night, and were privileged to have been able to attend such an extraordinary event! Thank you to the PTA and Falcon Cove for organizing a splendid evening for our students to enjoy.
